Attention spans on the web are short. Sometimes you need to get to your point, then hope the viewer will stick around for more.
Here is an easy technique called “Jump to Time” in YouTube. Just add this kind of string to the end of the YouTube link.

If you say it the string sounds like this, “pound t equals number m number s”.
Here is an example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf2F0c9R4Mc#t=2m21s
Be aware that some tools, like Power Twitter will ignore the jump string when displaying the link as an embedded video.
