The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina needed a way to show the power and success of their women’s giving circles. We interviewed donors, project managers, and grant recipients to show how powerful these connections were in instigating positive change within WNC.

“HeadCount: A Call to Action”
HeadCount really made a difference between 2004-08 by emphasizing the importance of
voting to a festival community that historically showed lots of apathy towards politics.

“OnTrack Web Videos”
When Consumer Credit Counseling Service of WNC changed their name to OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling, they wanted to use web-based video to help make the name stick in people’s minds. Bourne Media consulted with them and shot their “Agency Introduction” for their web site’s homepage. Soon after this, OnTrack and Bourne Media created two fund raising videos for distribution on YouTube.

“After the Storm: Compassion, Wisdom, Change”
Like many people, I was profoundly influenced by our government’s lack of action after
Hurricane Katrina’s destruction. This work was a “wake up call†to us to do something about it.

after the Katrina debacle.
