Bourne Media announces a new DVD companion release on Adventure Music’s new CD, “New Words (Novas Palavras)”. Mandolin virtuosos, Mike Marshall and Hamilton de Hollanda have made a fabulous album, combining the best of both North and South.

Filmed at the Savannah Music Festival in March, 2006, the video was to be used as a demo for Ham and Mike. However, Mike liked it so much he decided to make “New Words” a double disc release. The video conveys the dynamics between the two players well. One can truly see how much they enjoy playing with each other.

Bourne Media provided technical direction, camera work, editing, and DVD compilation for this piece. It was made in collaboration with Adventure Music, Concerts4Charity, Maria Camillo, Sonare Recordings, and Villasonica.

Well, make that two missions.

I just found out in the last week that Bourne Media will be making two videos for two worthy causes. In early November I will be going to Haiti with Asheville, NC based Mission Manna, and in late January 2007, I’ll go to Bolivia with a group from Central United Methodist Church.

Both videos will hopefully raise awareness, gain funding and encourage participants to take part in future journeys and projects.
